Marcos no comment on Sara Duterte’s alleged safety concern

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday did not give a comment on the statement of Vice President Sara Duterte that she does not feel safe following her arrest warrant for grave threats.

Marcos shook his head when asked by reporters about the matter during his visit to the Marikina Centralized Materials Recovery Facility.

Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 98 Presiding Judge Maria Angelica De Ramos issued a warrant of arrest on Friday. She set the bail at P120,000 each for three counts of grave threats in relation to Section 6 of Republic Act No. 10175.

Duterte posted bail on Saturday.

"I have documented threats and harassment since 2023. I fear for my children. I do not feel they are safe if I am with them," she said.

In early August, the Department of Justice filed three counts of grave threats against the Vice President over her remarks that she hired an individual to kill Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, and former speaker Martin Romualdez, should an alleged plot against her succeed. —Joviland Rita/AOL, GMA News
