11-year-old boy drowns in Quezon City creek

MANILA, Philippines - A boy drowned in a creek near a squatter's area along E. Rodriguez Avenue in Quezon City, radio dzBB's Lito Laparan reported on Sunday. The boy, identified as 11-year-old Johnrey Campilan, was wearing a shirt and pair of shorts smeared with mud. A group of children playing near the creek at the corner of Araneta Avenue saw the body, according to the report. The children called a boatman who recovered the boy's remains. - GMANews.TV
