15-year-old crushed by truck in Manila

MANILA, Philippines - A 15-year-old boy was crushed after being hit by a truck on the corner of South Superhighway and Osmeña Avenue in Manila Friday night. DZBB reported early Saturday that the boy, who was not immediately identified, was clad in black shirt and denim shorts. The driver of the truck, initially identified as Domingo Ilocso, was held for questioning after bystanders had run after him and cornered him. Ilocso claimed the boy suddenly crossed the road and he could not brake in time. Some witnesses interviewed by police also claimed the boy was running away from a commotion in the area before the truck hit him. - GMANews.TV
