‘Ulysses’ moving toward south Japan - Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines - Typhoon "Ulysses" (international name: Dolphin) maintained its strength as it moves northward toward the southern islands of Japan, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Tuesday morning. In its 11 a.m. advisory, Pagasa said "Ulysses" was 840 km east of Casiguran, Aurora as of 10 a.m., packing maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph. Pagasa said "Ulysses" was moving north at 7 kph and is expected to be 850 km east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora or 900 km east of Tuguegarao City Wednesday morning. By Thursday morning, it is expected to be 1,020 km east northeast of Tuguegarao City. By Friday morning it is expected to be 1,200 km east northeast of Tuguegarao City. No public storm signals have been raised, as Pagasa said "Ulysses" is too far to affect any part of the country. - GMANews.TV
