MANILA, Philippines - Tropical storm "Ulysses" (international code name Dolphin) continued to move away from Philippine territory even as rains loom over the whole country, state weather forecasters said Wednesday morning. In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said "Ulysses" was estimated at 940 km east of Tuguegarao as of 2 a.m. Pagasa said "Ulysses" packed maximum winds of 110 kph near the center and gustiness of 140 kph, and is forecast to move north-northeast at 13 kph. "The whole country will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms," Pagasa said. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough, it added. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the northeast to northwest with slight to moderate seas. - GMANews.TV
