MANILA, Philippines - A top Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) official on Thursday said they have identified those behind the reported death threats against PDEA executives involved in the "Alabang Boys" case and their families. During the House of Representatives committee on dangerous drugs, PDEA director general Dionisio Santiago said they have identified those behind death threats, but expressed willingness to identify them only during an executive session. "Alam namin kung sino... These are people who are involved in the case, ito hong hini-hear natin. They are that mad at us," Santiago said. Santiago also said a group of people went to his office and told him about the alleged threat on his life and offered him a bulletproof vehicle for his protection. Santiago, however, said he stopped riding the bullet-proof van on Wednesday saying he was not comfortable inside the vehicle. "I'd rather die in comfort," he said. Backed by Santiago, PDEA special enforcement services head Maj. Ferdinand Marcelino has earlier alleged that DOJ prosecutors received P50 million in bribes in exchange for the dismissal of the drug case filed against young drug suspects Richard Brodett, Jorge Jordana Joseph, and Joseph Tecson. - Johanna Camille Sisante, GMANews.TV
