MANILA, Philippines - The ashes of the 10-year-old fourth grade pupil who was killed in a vehicular accident inside the Ateneo campus in Quezon City has been brought to his family’s rest house in Taal, Batangas. Julian Carlo Miguel “Amiel" Alcantara was hit by a van and run over by another vehicle at the university’s parking lot on Feb. 24. His nanny, Tomasa “Tata" Suarez, was also bumped and had both legs broken. According to GMA’s Flash Report, the family and friends of Amiel first gathered at the Ateneo campus before motoring together to the rest house in Taal. The rest house is said to be the fourth grader’s favorite place. The victim’s family has decided not to scatter Amiel’s ashes at Taal Lake as originally planned but will just keep it in the garden of their rest house. - Kimberly Jane T. Tan, GMANews.TV
