Report: Bomb threat hits Manila City Hall
Tension gripped the Manila City Hall for several hours Wednesday morning after a male caller made a bomb threat there. Radio dzXL reported an unknown caller phoned the Office of the City Prosecutor and told lawyer Lorna Paglinawan about the explosive supposedly planted there. Paglinawan said a male-sounding voice on the other end claimed a bomb had been planted inside City Hall, and was due to explode any time. She said she received the call at 8 a.m., and immediately informed police after the caller hung up. A Manila Police District bomb squad rushed to City Hall and searched the fourth floor where the office of the city prosecutor was located, but found nothing. Authorities declared the building "clear" past 9 a.m., the same radio report said. â RSJ, GMANews.TV
