Report: Bomb threat hits Manila City Hall

Tension gripped the Manila City Hall for several hours Wednesday morning after a male caller made a bomb threat there. Radio dzXL reported an unknown caller phoned the Office of the City Prosecutor and told lawyer Lorna Paglinawan about the explosive supposedly planted there. Paglinawan said a male-sounding voice on the other end claimed a bomb had been planted inside City Hall, and was due to explode any time. She said she received the call at 8 a.m., and immediately informed police after the caller hung up. A Manila Police District bomb squad rushed to City Hall and searched the fourth floor where the office of the city prosecutor was located, but found nothing.
