Cebu Pacific cancels 8 flights to Bicol, Visayas due to bad weather

Air carrier Cebu Pacific on Thursday canceled at least eight flights between Manila and destinations in Bicol and the Visayas due to bad weather triggered by tropical storm "Falcon" (international name: Meari). Cebu Pacific cited safety concerns and asked for understanding from its passengers for the cancellation, radio dzBB's Denver Trinidad reported. The canceled flights included:

  • 5J-325 and 5J-326: Manila to Legaspi (Albay) and back;
  • 5J-891 and 5J-892: Manila to Caticlan and back
  • 5J-711 and 5J-712: Manila to Catarman (Samar) and back
  • 5J-521 and 5J-522: Manila to Naga and back The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) earlier placed nine areas under Storm Signal No. 1:
  • Albay
  • Catanduanes
  • Camarines Norte
  • Camarines Sur
  • Isabela
  • Cagayan
  • Calayan Group of Islands
  • Babuyan Group of Islands
  • Batanes Group of Islands - VVP, GMA News
