Koko Pimentel rushed to hospital but is now OK
Sen. Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III was brought to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon after his blood pressure shot up. In a text message to reporters late Wednesday, Koko's father, former Sen. Aquilino Pimentel Jr., said his son's blood pressure shot up to 150. The younger Pimentel was reportedly brought to the St. Luke's Medical Center in Taguig City. He was supposed to join Senators Teofisto Guingona III and Francis Pangilinan in a press conference earlier in the day. The elder Pimentel said Koko's blood pressure returned to normal and that the doctor just advised him to rest. A staff of Koko told GMA News Online that the senator is now resting at home. Koko was a complainant in the electoral sabotage case against former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who is currently on hospital arrest at St. Luke's Medical Center in Taguig for hypoparathyroidism and bone mineral disorder. - Kimberly Jane Tan/KBK, GMA News
