Bomb with nitroglycerine used in solon's car
It was an improvised bomb with nitroglycerine, not RDX, that blew up the car of Pasig Rep. Robert "Dodot" Jaworski Jr., the Philippine National Police confirmed on Monday. Nitroglycerine, also a used medically in vasodilators, is a chemical found in dynamite. RDX is also known as cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine, cyclonite, hexogen, or T4. It's an explosive widely used in military and industrial applications. The PNP, however, still have no suspects in the Dec. 12 bombing of Jaworski's silver Toyota Innova (ZDA-660), which was totally wrecked. Senior Superintendent Federico Terte, Eastern Police District deputy director for operations and Task Force Avoni commander, said tests showed that the explosion was caused by a high-explosive bomb. “Sabi ng mga expert high-explosives daw, malakas daw talaga ââ¬Ëyung uri ng bomba,ââ¬? Terte said in an interview. Terte clarified earlier reports that the bomb components used was RDX, a high-explosive usually found in C-4 plastic explosives. “Yung RDX at nitroglycerine parehong high-explosives pero base sa resulta ng examination nitroglycerine ang ginamit hindi RDX,ââ¬? Terte said. Jawaorski was with brother Ryan on their way home coming from a wake in Barangay Pineda, also in Pasig. The Jaworski brothers survived the bombing. Meanwhile, the Eastern Police District director, Chief Supt. Luizo Ticman, said they would provide additional security for Jaworski to prevent a repeat of the incident. He said two policemen will be assigned as personal bodyguard of Jaworski apart from the security personnel of the lawmaker. “Nagpadala na kami ng listahan kay Congressman para makapamili siya kung sino ang gusto niya na kanyang personal bodyguard,ââ¬? Ticman said. - GMANews.TV
