Truck driver in ex-teen star's death freed on bail

Authorities released on Tuesday the truck driver accused of sideswiping the car of matinee actor Denver Razon, after posting P15,000 bail. Eunize Siazon, driver of the 10-wheeler truck, spent two days in detention and is facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and serious physical injuries. Razon was driving his Honda City along Araneta Avenue in Quezon City last week when Siazon’s speeding truck bumped the car of the actor. Razon died instantly, but his lady companion survived. Siazon denied the charges and insisted that Razon attempted to overtake his truck and hit a lamppost. The result of police investigation on the accident is expected to be released Tuesday. On Friday, a taxi driver, Garlando Matinog, who claimed he saw the incident, pointed at Siazon as the one allegedly responsible for the accident. Razon’s remains were laid to rest in the Aglipay Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon. –GMANews.TV
