Chief Justice Renato Corona arrived at the Senate on Monday afternoon for the start of the much-anticipated impeachment trial against him.

Corona arrived past 1 p.m. with his wife Cristina and two children, Carla and Francis. He was also accompanied by SC spokesman and Court Administrator Midas Marquez. Chief Justice Corona was impeached by the House of Representatives last month for alleged betrayal of public trust, culpable violation of the Constitution, and graft and corruption.
