Unioil to roll back fuel prices Sunday

At least one oil company is rolling back prices of some of its products effective Sunday, to reflect lower prices of oil in the world market.

 

Unioil will roll back prices of diesel and regular gasoline effective Sunday morning, according to a report on "24 Oras" Saturday afternoon.

 

Covered by the rollback are diesel at 40 centavos per liter; and premium gasoline by 70 centavos per liter.

 

The "24 Oras" report also said other oil companies may roll back prices of their products in the coming days.

 

Last weekend, several oil companies rolled back prices of their products to reflect lower prices of oil in the world market.

 

The rollback last week, particularly for diesel, was enough to prompt the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board to withdraw a 50-centavo provisional fare hike for jeep drivers. It effectively brought down the minimum jeep fare from P8.50 to P8. — ELR, GMA News
