An inter-tropical convergence zone may bring rain to several parts of Luzon and Visayas, including afternoon and evening rain on Metro Manila on Wednesday, state weather forecasters said. Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster Elvie Enriquez said the rain from the ITCZ may be expected particularly on the western parts of Northern, Central and Southern Luzon and Visayas. "Wala tayong nakikitang weather disturbance maliban sa ITCZ. Apektado nito ang Hilaga, Gitna at Timog Luzon at Visayas," Enriquez said in an interview on dzBB radio. She said this may cause cloudy skies and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on the western parts of Northern, Central and Southern Luzon and the Visayas. In Metro Manila, she said rain showers and thunderstorms will likely take place in the afternoon or evening. PAGASA's 5 a.m. bulletin said the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. Light to moderate winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from southwest over Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago wil be slight to moderate, it added. — LBG, GMA News
