Health official calls for healing after RH vote
Following the close vote over the Reproductive Health bill in the House of Representatives, a Health Department official called for healing between pro- and anti-RH bill forces. "After the Lower House completes its vote on the RH Bill, our country can be better served by both pro-RH and anti-RH if wounds are allowed to heal," said National Epidemiology Center head Enrique Tayag in his Twitter account. The House of Representatives had approved the RH bill on second reading by a narrow margin - 113 to 104. But Kabataan party-list Rep. Raymond Palatino said he is bracing for more intense lobbying from both sides in the coming days. Palatino reminded that this was not the final vote on the bill. "[The final vote is] next week. Yes or No votes can still change," he tweeted. — DVM, GMA News
