PRC: 382 of 834 examinees pass librarian licensure exam

Out of 834 test takers, 382 passed the Librarian Licensure Examination given by the Board for Librarians in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Legazpi earlier this week, according to the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Wednesday.

The top scorer is Bilyson D. Alejo of University of Saint Louis-Tuguegarao, with a score of 88.05 percent.

Making up the rest of the top five are Kriezel Joy R. Daria of the University of the Philippines-Diliman (87.40 percent), Roselle S. Maestro of Philippine Normal University-Manila (87.05 percent), Emmanuel R. Vinagrera of UP Diliman (87.00 percent) and Alma S. Mason of Saint Mary's University (86.80 percent).

The top performing schools—with 30 or more examinees and with at least 80 percent passing percentage—are UP Diliman with a 97.30-percent passing rate, or 36 successful examinees out of 37; and University of Santo Tomas, with a passing rate of 81.82 percent or 36 of 44 examinees.

"Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on November 12, 2013 but not later than November 13, 2013," the PRC said.

"Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2013-2016.  Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

"The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremonies of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later."
