Palace sacks chief of aerospace corp
Malacañang accepted the recommendation of the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission(PAGC) to sack Roberto R. Navida from the Philippine Aerospace Development Corporation (PADC), radio dzBB reported Saturday. Malacañang appointed Navida president and chief executive officer of the PADC, which undertakes business and development activities for the establishment of a reliable aviation and aerospace industry under the Department of Science and Technology. PAGC recommended Navidaâs dismissal due to graft charges. The commission accused Navida of embezzlement and illegal hiring of employees, dzBB said. DzBB said Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita signed Navidaâs termination papers. The executive branch barred Navida from holding public office. His retirement and financial benefits were canceled and his civil service eligibility was revoked. -GMANews.TV
