Comparative Statistics Source: PNP-PIO as of February 6, 2007 The most number of election-related violent incidents in recent election years was recorded in 2001 (269 incidents). However, 2004 proved to be the bloodiest in terms of number of persons killed (148 killed). It is also second to 2001 in terms of number of persons wounded in election-related violent incidents (261 wounded).
