Jamby Madrigal’s dad is dead

The father of Senator Maria Ana Consuelo “Jamby" Madrigal died Tuesday. Don Antonio Madrigal has been bedridden for sometime. He was 87 years old. His body lies in state at the Madrigal’s home on Hemady Street, New Manila, Quezon City. Don Antonio was a lawyer, graduating cum laude from the University of Santo Tomas. He was also a graduate of the Infantry School at Fort Benning in Georgia, USA. He was the son of Don Vicente Madrigal. Don Antonio served as aide de camp with the rank of major to former President Jose Osmeña and General Carlos P. Romulo during the historic 1944 landing of General Douglas MacArthur on the beach of Palo, Leyte. Don Antonio was the same Madrigal referred to by Senator Juan Ponce Enrile who allegedly partied with the Marcoses during the years of martial law. – GMANews.TV
