President Aquino's 2013 SALN
President Benigno Aquino III's Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) shows that his assets in 2013 stood at P66.49 million, making him P1.3 million richer from the previous year.

A copy of the SALN obtained by GMA News Online showed that Aquino's assets for 2013 stood at P66,494,183.

Among his declared personal properties are a motor vehicle worth P3 million; cash on hand and in banks worth P28,778.920; and receivables worth P552,829.

Aquino's “other assets” are worth P2 million, his SALN shows.

On the other hand, his real properties include:

- a residential lot in Tarlac worth P718,200 (purchased)
- a residential house and lot in Quezon City worth P24,310,760 (inherited)
- commercial lots in San Juan worth P7,016,906 (inherited)
- an agriculture lot in Tarlac worth P113,750 (purchased)
- an agriculture lot in Tarlac worth P2,818 (inherited)

In 2012, Aquino's net worth stood at P65.13 million.  He said the jump in 2013 was "primarily interest income."

Public interest in the SALNs of officials peaked after former Chief Justice Renato Corona was convicted and ousted from office in 2012 by the Senate acting as an impeachment court for not fully disclosing his assets.

After this, members of the media and even of executive branch began having difficulty in getting access to the SALNs of members of the House of Representatives. —Kimberly Jane Tan/KBK/JL, GMA News
