Australia on Wednesday said it is ready to help Filipinos affected by Typhoon Glenda (Rammasun), which battered parts of Visayas and Luzon this week.
In a tweet, Australian Ambassador to the Philippines Bill Tweddell said Australia is "standing behind all Filipinos" as they face Glenda's wrath.
Standing behind all #Filipinos as we face #GlendaPH. Australia is ready to assist as a friend and neighbor. Stay safe.

Glenda battered parts of the Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas Tuesday, and hit parts of southern Luzon on Wednesday.
While its eye did not hit Metro Manila, the metropolis felt its strong winds.
Earlier Wednesday, the European Union said it is ready to assist families affected by Glenda.
EU Ambassador Guy Ledoux said a team of humanitarian aid officers in Manila is monitoring the situation and assessing the damage caused by Glenda.
