NDRRMC: Glenda death toll up to 98, damage up to P10.46B

The death toll from Typhoon Glenda (Rammasun) went up to 98 as of Wednesday morning, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said.

In its 6 a.m. update posted online at 11 a.m., the NDRRMC also said the number of injured went up to 630, while five are still missing.

According to the NDRRMC, the latest fatality was from Marinduque, while many of the most recent injured were from Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol and Eastern Visayas.

Glenda affected 330,433 families or 1,600,298 people. Of these, 97,055 families or 518,764 people were served in 1,264 evacuation centers.

Power restored in NCR

The NDRRMC also said that as of Tuesday, power has been fully restored in Metro Manila. However, it is still 85 percent restored in Laguna and 96 percent in Cavite.

It is 84 percent restored in Batangas and 62 percent restored in Quezon.

Damage to property was estimated at P10,460,846,495.33 including P1,514,432,958.95 in infrastructure and P8,946,413,536.38 in agriculture.
