Retired Maj. Gen. Jovito Palparan has been in hiding since 2011, when a court issued a warrant for his arrest over charges of his involvement in the disappearance of two student activists in Bulacan in 2006.

Initial reports of DZBB said Palparan looked like a hermit upon his arrest by operatives of the National Bureau of Investigation and the Armed Forces Naval Intelligence.

A photo released on Tuesday shortly after his arrest showed just how much Palparan's appearance has changed over his three years in hiding.

Palparan looked noticeably thinner, grew out his hair, and now sported graying facial hair, a radical departure from his clean-cut look he sported before going into hiding. — JST, GMA News
