Comelec allows registrants to fill out forms online

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) launched iRehistro, an online voter registration application and scheduling system that allows registrants to accomplish their voters’ application and other forms online.

Comelec Commissioner Al Parreño said that project aimed to lessen the queuing time at the local Comelec office during the registration period.

“Accomplishing voters’ application and other forms through the iRehistro website will shorten the application process to as much as half the time,” Parreño said.

After filling out their online application forms at www.comelec.gov.ph or iRehistro.com, registrants may opt to schedule their appearance at the local Comelec office.

However, the scheduling function is now only available in Quezon City.

Applicants only need to print three copies of the form and submit unsigned copies to the election officer.

Other forms available online are Application for Transfer, Application for Reactivation, Change/Correction of Entries, Inclusion of Record in the Book of Voters, Reinstatement to Voters List and Submission of Supplementary Forms. —Andrei Medina/NB, GMA News
