Medical missions from the United States may be arriving in the Philippines to help those affected by Typhoon Ruby (Hagupit).

The Philippine embassy in Washington said Sunday the US-based Mammoth Medical Missions and Team Rubicon have sent advance missions to Manila.

Both groups have helped in the response to super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) last year.

"Advanced elements from US-based Mammoth Medical Missions and @TeamRubicon now in Manila to support #Hagupit #RubyPH efforts @rubyresponse," the embassy tweeted.

Meanwhile, the Embassy and non-government group NAFFAA are ready to mobilize Filipino community in the US for response as well. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
