FG Arroyo to stay few more days at hospital
First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo's weekend return to Malacañang was delayed after his doctors decided Saturday to keep him at the St. Luke's Medical Center in Quezon City for "a few more days" of further observation. QTV-11's Balitanghali reported Saturday noon that Mr Arroyo's attending physician Juliet Cervantes noted at least two episodes of low-grade fever and a feeling of weakness by the First Gentleman. Cervantes also said Mr Arroyo will have to remain on a liquid diet for the moment so doctors can observe his gastrointestinal tract. The medical team also decided to restrict anew his visitors to prevent "infection and stress." Doctors said only members of the first family can visit the first gentleman. But Cervantes said the First Gentleman is still "within the time frame" of his recovery. She said she informed President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo about her husband's condition Friday night, before Mrs Arroyo departed for China. The First Gentleman underwent a high-risk open heart surgery at St. Luke's last April 9. His doctors told him to watch his diet and not to smoke. His children had agreed to help him watch what he eats. - GMANews.TV
