Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle has issued a call to Filipino Catholics to dedicate their Visita Iglesia during the coming Holy Week to a campaign rejecting the sin of stealing.

Tagle said the “Huwag kang magnakaw” campaign "is a continuing journey in uprooting the culture of stealing on all levels of society and planting the seed of honesty, integrity and generosity so as to finally reclaim the stolen dignity of the Filipino people."

The cardinal's call was issued in a circular dated February but posted on March 11 on the "Huwag Kang Magnakaw" movement's Facebook page.

According to the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines, the anti-corruption campaign's statement shirts are available at Adamson University in Manila, the Radyo Veritas offices in Quezon City, the Caritas Manila office in Pandacan, Manila and at select parishes nationwide. — Joel Locsin/ELR, GMA News
