Former President and incumbent Manila Mayor Joseph "Erap" Estrada on Wednesday admitted he's still undecided whether or not he will support Vice President Jejomar Binay's candidacy in the 2016 presidential elections.

Binay was Estrada's running mate in the 2010 national elections, where Estrada ranked second to now President Benigno Aquino III.

Estrada said he is "torn between two walls," the other being Senator Grace Poe, who is yet to decide whether she will pursue a higher position in 2016.

"Kung sino man susuportahan ko, ang pagkakaibigan may hangganan...I'll always be for the greatest good of the greatest number. Sana mauwaan nila...Kung sino iyong higit na makakatulong sa mga mahihirap, iyon, that will be the bottomline," Estrada said.

Estrada and Poe's father, the late actor-turned-presidential candidate Fernando Poe, Jr. were best friends. Estrada is also Senator Poe's godfather.

Poe earlier said she is being wooed by Interior Secretary Manuel "Mar" Roxas II to run as vice president under the administration party. However, Poe said she would prefer to run as an independent candidate.

Mayor Estrada said Poe lacks experience to run for the position of chief executive.

"Sa aking pananaw, matalino si Grace, no doubt. Kaya lang, iyong kulang pa sa experience pero she's a very intelligent woman. Pero kung bilang pangulo, dapat may experience ka," he said. -Kathrina Charmaine Alvarez - JJ, GMA News
