CCTV video shows how Samal Island kidnappers took foreigners, Pinay

Footage from closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras showed how the kidnappers took three foreigners and a Filipina at an exclusive resort in Samal, Davao del Norte. 

 

At least 20 armed men swooped into Ocean View Resort, Island Garden City of Samal at around 11 p.m. Monday night. 

 

Some of them went inside the lobby of the resort with their firearms, as if looking for something inside the rooms. They did not bother to cover their faces. 

 

They proceeded to the Marina Yacht Club and went inside some of the yachts until they found and abducted three foreigners and a Filipina. 

 

The victims were identified as Kjartan Sekkingstad, a Norwegian and operations manager of the resort; Canadians John Ridsdel and Robert Hall, and a Filipina named Tess. 

 

The CCTV footage showed that one of the foreigners tried to resist the kidnappers. 

 

Authorities said the kidnapping could have been an inside job since the abductors seem to know their way around the resort.
