Sheryl Cruz upset with Grace Poe over parenthood issue
Actress Sheryl Cruz on Tuesday asked Senator Grace Poe and the lawmaker's adoptive mother, actress Susan Roces, to come up with a categorical statement denying that the senator was the child of the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos and Cruz's mother, Rosemarie Sonora.
"Naghihintay nga ako na magsalita sila sa kung anong alam nila," Cruz said in an interview with Arnold Clavio and Ali Sotto over dzBB.
"My mom's name has been dragged too many times, which is hindi na nakakatuwa sa aming magkakapatid," she added.
GMA News Online is trying to get Poe's reaction to Cruz's latest remarks as of posting time.
Susan Roces and Rosemarie Sonora are sisters.
Poe is a foundling who was later adopted by Roces and her husband Fernando Poe Jr.
Unfunny joke
Cruz said she didn't find funny Poe and Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s light-hearted address to one another as bro and sis.
"Masakit para sa 'kin pag ginagawa nang parang biro.... I don't see the humor in that," Cruz said.
Cruz said a statement from Roces denying that Sonora is Poe's mother would put things in order.
"Isang interview lang ng auntie ko mabibigyan na 'to ng tuldok," Cruz said.
Cruz said she was upset with the senator because she allowed Sonora to be put in a bad light.
"I guess yung sama ng loob ko is from the fact na why does my cousin say na favorite auntie niya ang mama ko when she allows these things to happen na ma-drag yung pangalan nya dito sa kanyang quest for the presidency," Cruz said. —NB/JST, GMA News
