With less than four months to go before the elections, the Senate Blue Ribbon subcommittee will resume its investigation on the corruption allegations against Vice President Jejomar Binay on Tuesday.

It will be the 25th hearing since the inquiry started in August 2014.

Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, a member of the panel who is running for vice president, said that the hearing will focus on the total amount of money that was allegedly lost to corruption during Binay's long stint as mayor of Makati City.

He will also present a new witness during the hearing.

Meanwhile, Senator Kiko Pimentel, the subcommittee head, said Tuesday's probe will be the last hearing on the allegations against the Vice President.

Binay recently regained the lead in presidential surveys after falling from the top spot in the previous ones conducted at the height of the Senate probe.

The Senate hearing began in August 2014.

Binay has repeatedly denied the allegations against him, saying they were all part of a demolition job against him because of his plan to run for president and his high ratings in the presidential preference surveys.
