Presidential candidates arrive at the debate venue

The five presidential candidates arrived ahead of the PiliPinas Debates 2016 to be held at the Capitol University in Cagayan de Oro City on Sunday afternoon.

The candidates -- Vice President Jejomar Binay, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, Senator Grace Poe, former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas and Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago -- will face off during the two-hour debate from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Binay was first to arrive at 2:57 p.m., following by Roxas, 3:45 p.m.; and Poe, 4:02 p.m. Duterte and Santiago arrived within minutes of each other and all five were at the venue by 4:16 p.m.

There was supposed to be a single briefing for all of the candidates but due to time constraints, the organizers decided to brief them one by one.
