The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board issued a warning to drivers of UV Express vehicles that they will be penalized if caught cutting trips, a report on Unang Balita by Jay Sabale on Monday said.
The agency said they have received complaints from commuters that some UV Express vehicles do not go from terminal to terminal and just unload their passengers along the way before making a U-turn.
LTFRB Board Member Ariel Inton said UV Express drivers caught cutting trips will be fined P5,000. Their franchises may also be revoked.
The report said that according to some UV Express drivers, those cutting trips are driving colorum vehicles, or those without franchises. —KG, GMA News
