Ako Bicol leads 16 party-list groups in latest SWS poll
Ako Bicol leads in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) poll for party-list groups that are aspiring to win a seat in the next Congress.
According to the survey conducted from May 1 to 3, Ako Bicol garnered 5.82 percent of the votes.
Gabriela ranked second with 5.58 percent of votes, followed by 1Pacman (4.79 percent), Senior Citizens (3.92 percent), ACT Teachers (3.38 percent), then Kabayan (3.18 percent).
The top 16 groups are qualified for guaranteed seats in the House.
There are 59 maximum seats under the party-list system, each party entitled to a maximum of three seats.
The other groups that made it to the top 16 are Agri (3.17 percent), Buhay (3.01 percent), An Waray (2.63 percent), ABONO (2.54 percent), YACAP (2.51 percent), Bayan Muna (2.27 percent), Akbayan (2.27 percent), Diwa (2.18 percent), Ang Kabuhayan (2.08 percent), and Kalinga (2.06 percent).
The remaining 43 seats will be allocated to the parties above and the parties next in rank until all available seats are distributed, SWS said.
The survey was conducted using face to face interviews with 4,500 validated voters, 300 coming from Metro Manila, 950 in North Luzon, 750 in South Luzon, 1,000 in Visayas, and 750 each in North Mindanao and South Mindanao.
