Duterte’s DOH, DTI, DOT secretaries named
The camp of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte on Monday night announced three new members of his Cabinet.
Ernie Abella, who was named deputy spokesman in the incoming administration, in a video statement said that Duterte has picked the following for the three remaining departments without secretaries:
Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial – Health
Wanda Corazon Teo – Tourism
Ramon Lopez – Trade and Industry
In his announcement, Abella also said the recent picks completed Duterte's roster of Cabinet secretaries.
Ubial is an assistant secretary of the DOH for the Office of Health Regulations.
As confirmed by Duterte’s executive assistant Christopher “Bong” Go to GMA News Online, Teo is the owner of Mt. Apo Travel and Tours. Lopez, on the other hand is with the RFM Corporation as vice president and executive assistant to the President and CEO as well as concurrent head of the Corporate Planning. RFM Corp. President and Chief Executive Officer is Jose Ma. Concepcion III.
Meanwhile, Go confirmed that Abella is a Christian pastor.
Asked if Duterte has picked a new chairperson for the Commission on High Education (CHED), Go said that the current post will be retained by Patricia Licuanan since it is a fixed term. —Trisha Macas/NB/BAP, GMA News
