Vice President Leni Robredo said that she will not run for President in 2022 during an interview on GMA's "Walang Pasaway" hosted by Winnie Monsod.

Robredo issued the same statement during the election campaign season and underscores that she stands by the same decision.

"Once na mag ambisyon ako now that I am vice president, parang all my efforts will be towards the 2022 elections and I dont like that," Robredo told Monsod.

"I even told the President, sabi ko sa kanya Mr. President sana po hindi kayo naniniwala sa mga talks on Plan B or impeachment kasi wala po talaga akong balak na mag-Pangulo," she added.

Robredo said she did not harbor ill feelings towards President Rodrigo Duterte for the latter's decision to hold a separate inuaguration.

"Yung sa akin naman, after the death of my husband, sa mga bagay na wala akong mgagawa hindi ko na pinagtutuunan ng pansin," she said, adding they also had to make preparations for the inauguration and for the series of activities held in Quezon City and Naga City.

After an initial announcement that Duterte has no Cabinet position for Robredo, she was appointed by the former as head of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).  — BAP, GMA News
