Palace: Duterte will announce something big, unexpected in first SONA

Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said President Rodrigo Duterte will announce something big and unexpected during his first State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday.

"Merong isang malaking announcement ang Pangulo mamaya sa SONA at iyon ang abangan nating lahat," Andanar was quoted by Super Radyo DZBB on Twitter.

"Marami ang matutuwa sa announcement dahil hindi ito expected ng lahat," Andanar said.

In an earlier statement, the Presidential Communications Secretary said the speech will be 38 minutes long, adding that he cried after reading the speech.
