President Duterte delivers longest first SONA in history

President Rodrigo Duterte delivered his first State of the Nation Address on Monday, July 25, 2016. Clocking in at 1 hour and 32 minutes, Duterte's speech — the longest first SONA in history — was part reiteration of his campaign promises, part bold instructions to government officials and institutions, and part ad lib, highlighted by a declaration of a unilateral ceasefire with the Communist Party of the Philippines.
