Convict admits Rosanna Roces brought women to NBP for him, other inmates
High-profile convict Vicente Sy on Monday admitted that his "friend", former actress Rosanna Roces, brought women to the New Bilibid Prison for him and his fellow inmates.
Sy made the admission before the House inquiry into the alleged illegal drug trade and other anomalies inside the national penitentiary.
On questioning by Compostela Rep. Ruwel Peter Gonzaga, Sy admitted that he was friends with Roces and that she brought women into the penitentiary.
"Para sa mga gustong kumuha, hindi lang ako," Sy said.
Asked what he meant, Sy said Roces would bring women for whoever from among the inmates wanted them.
Told that he could be held liable for human trafficking, Sy said, "Hindi ako'ng nagdadala e."
Sy stressed that Roces was only a friend.
"Kung girlfriend sandali lang. Noon pa yun," Sy said when Quezon City Rep. Vincent Crisologo asked if the actress was his girlfriend.
"Kaibigan lang po," he added to refer to their present relationship.
Roces in a Facebook post last week denied that she was Sy's mistress, as earlier alleged by a witness in the House inquiry.
"Paanong magiging mistress eh babae ang dinadala ko ke Enteng. Kada hatid ko ng babae ay 25k ang binibigay sa akin. Kahit na reject pa ang babaeng dalhin ko," Roces said in Jennifer Cruz Adriano's Facebook.
"Hindi droga ang business ko sa bilibid. Monterey....taga deliver ng karne. Isang tao lang ang kausap ko dun. Yung sinasabi nilang si Vicente Sy," she added. —NB, GMA News
