After few months as housing czar, Leni Robredo caps Cabinet stint with resignation

Emerging victorious from a close vice presidential race, Leni Robredo stepped into her new office determined to do more.

She had promised to reach out to those at the "fringes of society," identifying key advocacies to transform her office beyond "spare tire" duties, even before she was offered a place in President Rodrigo Duterte's official family as Housing czar.

Her stay at the Cabinet, however, was short-lived, with the President excluding her over "irreconcilable differences" in views, as well as her association with the former ruling party. -NB, GMA News
