This was after the LTFRB granted the petition of several transport groups, including FEJODAP, ACTO and Pasang Masda, to increase the jeepney fare due to the increasing price of petroleum products, the report said.
The fare hike will be implemented in public utility jeepneys in the National Capital Region and Regions III and IV.
Because of this, the minimum jeepney fare will be placed at P8 from its current price of P7.
The fare hike will be implemented in public utility jeepneys in the National Capital Region and Regions III and IV 15 days after its publication. — Erwin Colcol/RSJ, GMA News
