CHED memo imposing moratorium on school field trips

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has imposed a temporary moratorium on field trips in all public and private higher education institutions following Monday morning's road accident in Tanay, Rizal, where 15 people, most of them college students, were killed and more than 30 others were injured.

The CHED memorandum ordered HEIs to create alternate activities that will compensate the purpose of off-campus activities.

It said the moratorium will remain in effect until all HEIs can ensure the safety of their students during field trips. —Joseph Tristan Roxas/KBK, GMA News
