Honeylet Avanceña, ASEAN leaders’ spouses tour National Museum

President Rodrigo Duterte's common-law wife Cielito "Honeylet" Avanceña on Saturday toured the National Museum as the official hostess to the wives of world leaders attending the ASEAN Summit.

Avanceña was joined by first ladies Iriana Widodo from Indonesia, Naly Sisoulith from Laos, Naraporn Chan-o-Cha from Thailand, and Tran Nguyen from Vietnam.

The spouses posed in front of the imposing "Spoliarium," a 4.22-meter tall painting by Filipino artist Juan Luna that is said to portray the oppression suffered by Filipinos during the Spanish colonial era.

Cecil Villarosa of dzBB reported that the five were joined by the wives of ASEAN ministers and ambassadors.

Pangkawat Kawayan performed for the guests.
