Galvante said that the driver's license with a five-year validity comes with 32 enhanced security features. It is laser-engraved and imprinted with guilloche pattern, and has ultraviolet and holographic features.
While a driving license with three-year validity is made of PVC material and is thermal printed, the five-year validity card will be made of polycarbonate material which will also be laser engraved.
"Meron 'tong 32 security features, 22 sa harap, tapos 10 features sa likod. Ang iba rito hindi makikita by naked eye, kailangan may aparato para mabasa at definitely hindi ito napakadaling gayahin kaya hopefully mawawala na 'tong mga fake licenses," Galvante said.

"Very technologically advanced itong processing na 'to kaya we are confident na hindi ito basta basta mapepeke. Mayroon itong 2D barcode na nakapaloob yung fingerprint at picture, eh yung nga naunang lisensiya walang picture nung fingerprint," he added. — MDM, GMA News
