Malacañang on Saturday asked Secretary Rodolfo Salalima to shed light on his allegations of "corruption and interference" at the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

Salalima, the first secretary of the DICT, this week tendered his resignation.

Presidential spokesman Ernesto Abella said that Salalima told DICT employees that "corruption and interference" were the reasons behind his resignation.

Abella suggested that Salalima cite incidents of such.

"Good governance being the North Star of the Duterte Administration, Mr. Salalima may want to shed light on certain incidents in the Department he once headed," he said.

Abella had announced on Thursday that Salalima resigned due to "personal and work-related reasons." —Jessica Bartolome/ALG, GMA News
