Ghostly screams allegedly heard in Marawi's main battle area

Ghostly screams could be allegedly heard in video taken in an area of Marawi City where some 50 civilians had been killed.

According to a Friday report on GMA News TV's "State of the Nation with Jessica Soho", locals believed that the screams were from supernatural beings known as djinns.

"Yung mga areas na... it attracts negative forces where usually the bad djinns go to because they feed on the negative forces," ARMM Assemblyman Zia Alonto Adiong explained.

Even as the fighting ended and no civilians were known to occupy the district, a GMA News source said that soldiers operating in the area also claimed hearing the screams.
