Ex-Palace spokesperson Abella appointed to DFA

Former presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella has been appointed as undersecretary at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Abella was appointed on October 27, based on papers released by Malacañang on Thursday.

Abella was replaced on October 28 by former Kabayan party-list Representative Harry Roque, who officially assumed his post as presidential spokesperson last November 6.

President Rodrigo Duterte earlier explained that appointing Roque to replace Abella was his “personal decision.”

Roque's appointment paper as presidential adviser on human rights was also released by Malacañang on Thursday. —KBK, GMA News
