Marilou Danley deleted her Facebook account about an hour before the name of her then-boyfriend, the gunman behind the deadly October 1 Las Vegas shootings, was made public by the police, according to reports by US news outlets.

Newly unsealed court documents show that Danley changed her account's privacy and personal settings at 12:30 a.m., or two-and-a-half hours after Stephen Paddock unleashed his first volley of bullets at attendees of a music festival on the Las Vegas strip.

Her account was then deleted at 2:46 a.m., about an hour before police released Paddock's name to the public, said the Las Vegas Review-Journal, one of the news outlets that sued for the documents to be released.

"While monitoring an identified Facebook account of Marilou Danley (facebook.com/marilou.danley) after the shooting, LVMPD investigators noted that the account settings and privacy settings were changed on October 2, 2017, at approximately 0030 hours. At approximately 0246 hours, the Facebook account was deleted," the court documents stated.

The documents also reveal that investigators made a preservation request for all content found on social media accounts associated with Paddock and Danley.

Danley, who was in the Philippines when the shooting occurred, has denied knowledge of any plans by Paddock, who killed 58 people and injured another 557.

Her sister claimed that Danley was sent away to the Philippines to avoid interfering with Paddock.

Bureau of Immigration records showed that Danley left the Philippines for Los Angeles, California three days after the shooting on October 4.

Another report from NBC said Paddock wired $100,000 to an unknown recipient in the Philippines prior to the shooting. — Rie Takumi/BM, GMA News
