A group of protesters from Northern Samar went to Times Street in Quezon City on Tuesday in hopes of getting near the house of former President Benigno Aquino III to air their concerns regarding the rehabilitation of areas hit by Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).

According to a report on Balitanghali by Oscar Oida, the protesters who belong to the group People Surge shouted "Waray bulos" which means "walang silbi" or "ineffective" while throwing mud at the gate which closed off the street to outsiders.

They were not able to get near the house of Aquino since aside from the gate, there were also policemen around.

The protesters blamed Aquino for what they say is unjust and subpar rehabilitation of Samar after Super Typhoon Yolanda caused widespread devastation when it hit the province in 2013.

They said it has already been five years since the calamity but they are still suffering.

The group also said the current Duterte administration is not doing anything to help them. Instead, it is continuing the militarization in their area.

The protesters said they will stay in Manila until March 8 to conduct other protest actions.
